J.6. Publishing Translations

Translations of books, pamphlets, articles, language-wide newsletters, handouts, and materials published on the RC websites, must be approved for publication by the appropriate Translation Coordinator and the IRP (or just by the Translation Coordinator, if so delegated by the IRP).

Translations may be printed locally (instead of at RIP) only with the permission of the IRP.

When publishing a pamphlet or book already published by RIP, the cover design, layout, and size should follow the original publication as closely as possible. All translations must include copyright and other publication information, as specified in the Guidelines for Translation of RC Literature and posted to: rc.org/languageliberation.

REASON

It is important that RC publications be accurately translated and their copyright protected. Consistent publication design assists in identification of the publications. Printing publications locally can save money on printing and shipping.
