Our re-emergence is accelerating.
The theory opens bright new vistas for us.
The crumbling system cracks and strains and falters.
Wilder and wilder schemes for war are financed.
The smallest social problems can’t be handled.
Billions are hungry in a world of plenty.
How fortunate we are to face this prospect,
Gifted to have this long view of the future,
To see the dangers in perspective, challenged
To take charge of it all and find solutions.
